Team building adventures, sporting events and adventure racing. He is the founder of the Spring Challenge women’s adventure race.

Leadership, logistics and managing people safely in outdoor sport is an area he is an expert in.

While sport has been a huge part of his life and for a period a full time job, Nathan’s ‘real’ career was outdoor education and adventure tourism. He studied Physical Education at Otago University for a year but a huge snow dump in Wanaka convinced him that a season pass at Treble Cone would be a better use of his time. He then studied Outdoor Leadership at Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT). He worked as a sea kayak guide in the Abel Tasman National Park for 9 seasons, the later 3 years at Kiwi Kayaks, a business Nathan and his wife founded and operated. Kiwi Kayaks won a New Zealand Small Business Award in its first trading year. They sold the business to work as Instructors at the NZ Outward Bound School for 3 years.
Ten Events Ltd run commercial sporting events as well as delivering event management contracts. Nathan & his team can custom design an event to meet your needs.
In 2016 he was commissioned by Niue Tourism to do a review of their events strategy and adventure tourism industry.
Ten Events Ltd is a member of the NZ Association of Event Professionals. The Health & Safety plan is audited by Outdoors Mark, Skills Active.
Ten Events Ltd has designed and delivered many outdoor adventure programmes for Yealands Winery.

Corporate

Nathan has extensive knowledge in Corporate Level outdoor activities. He uses the Adventure Racing platform as the basis for Corporate events and experiences. There are numerous synergies between a high performing sports team and a well functioning business or company. Nathan blends his sporting excellence, outdoor educator skills and business awareness to create Adventure Racing style tasks for teams to be challenged by, from 1-day activities to multi-day, anything is possible.
