CORPORATE ADVENTURE TRAINING
Put the team to the test.
Adventure racing is teamwork in its purest form.
A group of people working together towards a common goal, solving problems, making decisions and adapting to the unexpected - often under pressure, with incomplete information and no perfect answer.
Sound familiar?
Nathan has worked with a range of organisations using adventure racing and outdoor adventure as a powerful medium for developing people and teams.
Rather than delivering an off-the-shelf team-building activity, Nathan works with each organisation to understand its people, objectives and desired outcomes, then designs an original adventure experience around them.
Activities can incorporate navigation, problem-solving, strategy, communication, physical challenges and decision-making - with the emphasis adjusted to suit the group.
No adventure racing experience is required. The objective isn't to discover who's the fastest or fittest.
It's to discover how your team performs together.
REAL TEAMS. REAL DECISIONS. REAL CONSEQUENCES.
An adventure environment quickly reveals team dynamics.
Who communicates?
Who listens?
Who leads - and when?
How does the team make decisions with incomplete information?
What happens when the original plan stops working?
Does everyone understand the strategy?
Are people's different strengths being used?
And can the team stay positive and effective when pressure starts to build?
These experiences create natural opportunities for reflection and discussion, connecting what happens during the adventure back to the workplace.
BUILT AROUND YOUR TEAM
Every programme is different.
Depending on the objectives, location and available time, an experience might range from a two-hour urban adventure through to a half-day or full-day, or even a mulit-day outdoor challenge.
Programmes can be designed around:
Teamwork • Leadership • Communication • Strategy • Problem-Solving • Decision-Making • Adaptability • Trust • Resilience • High Performance
And there's another important ingredient: Fun.
Because some of the strongest teams aren't just effective together - they genuinely enjoy doing hard things together.
FROM THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE TO YOUR TEAM
Nathan has spent more than three decades studying team performance in one of the most demanding team sports in the world.
Adventure racing has taught him that great teams aren't simply collections of talented individuals.
They develop a shared purpose. They communicate. They use people's different strengths. They make decisions. They adapt. They look after each other. And when things inevitably don't go to plan, they find a way forward.
Corporate Adventure Training takes those principles out of the presentation room and puts them into action.
Nathan has worked with a diverse range of leading organisations, helping develop high-performing teams, strong cultures, effective leadership and the principles that turn ambition into action.
